FAMILY THERAPY
Family therapy is a form of counseling that aims to help family members improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. In family therapy sessions, I work with your family as a whole to identify and address issues that may be causing distress or tension within the family unit. By exploring family dynamics, patterns of interaction, and individual experiences, family therapy can provide a supportive and constructive environment for families to work through challenges together. The goal of family therapy is often to enhance understanding, promote empathy, and foster healthy ways of relating to one another.
TEENS
Teen therapy provides a safe space for adolescents to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a trained professional. Let me help your teenager navigate the challenges they face, such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues. I work with teens to develop coping strategies, improve communication skills, and build resilience. Through this process, teenagers can gain a better understanding of themselves and learn how to manage their emotions more effectively.
PARENT UPDATE CALL
While Confidentiality will be maintained with your teenager, you are entitled to parent update calls throughout the process. Frequency of parent update calls will be determined at the beginning of services and can be adjusted as needed. Content of parent update calls include updates regarding safety concerns, general themes in Therapy and attendance.
IN SESSION
What to expect
During therapy sessions with me, you can expect a multi-faceted approach that is non-judgmental, direct, and evidence-based. I draw from various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gestalt therapy, and Client-Centered approaches. Together, we will explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and experiences in a collaborative and supportive environment. I will work with you to identify goals, develop coping skills, and implement interventions tailored to your specific needs. Through our work together, you can expect to gain insight, self-awareness, and tools to navigate challenges and foster personal growth.
